IN KINO VERITAS PANEL: B-MOVIE. THE GENRE. THE MYTH.

Following the tradition originating from the last year’s festival, RIGA IFF opens the retrospective programme IN KINO VERITAS with a discussion dedicated to a specific theme. This year it is the somewhat mythical category “B”. The panel is to discuss its borders, origins, aesthetics, characteristics and significant examples. How has it influenced the work of world famous film directors, from Quentin Tarantino to Martin Scorsese, and how has it shaped the habits of film buffs for many decades?
