BALTIC FILM
TALENT LAB 2017:

We believe in a burst of creativity when the Baltics come together! The TALENT LAB is an educational and networking platform that aims at creating a better engagement between the different disciplines within film-making. This year we have called for participants that wish to broaden their understanding of character development and voice-over artistry in animated film and those who are interested in film music. BALTIC FILM TALENT LAB explores these two topics through the professional relationships between film directors and voice-over artists and music composers.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
& VOICE ACTING FOR ANIMATED FILM
8 – 10/09/2017

The BALTIC FILM TALENT LAB for animated film directors and voice actors is built as an intensive seminar that mainly focuses (but does not limit itself to) on young talent. The seminar includes individual and group workshops lead by two renown tutors – the acclaimed animated film maker and graphic designer Edmunds Jansons and the London-based voice artist and acting coach Dian Perry.

BALTIC
FILM MUSIC HUB
16/09/2017

The first BALTIC FILM TALENT LAB for film directors and music producers is intended as a networking event featuring public a public lecture by the critic and researcher Thor Joachim Haga on innovating the film score genre, a case study where the participants and attendants would be exposed to and could interact with real-world examples of a creative approach to music in film. The event features a meet-up session of selected Baltic film directors and music producers, composers, performers to potentially find new collaborators and friends. The participants of the meeting are able to share their professional profiles with others prior to the event thus creating a film-maker/music maker data-base for possible future reference.
